Small Business Roundtables with 2008 Presidential Candidates at FOSE 2007

Democratic presidential candidate Mike Gravel to meet with small business owners to discuss issues and tour FOSE 2007 Small Business Pavilion.

Washington, DC (Issues Wire / PRWEB) March 14, 2007 -- The American Small Business Coalition, a private membership organization providing ongoing technical and advisory support to companies doing business with federal agencies and contractors, today announced it is hosting small business roundtables that will feature 2008 Presidential candidates at the upcoming FOSE tradeshow and conference taking place March 20-22 at the Washington DC Convention Center. The American Small Business Coalition is co-producer and sponsor of the FOSE 2007 Small Business Pavilion.

The Small Business Roundtables are 25-minute private discussions between small business owners and participating 2008 Presidential candidates who have been asked to address one or more of the following small business issues - regulatory reform, healthcare reform, and/or procurement reform. Small businesses will be selected from the exhibitors participating in the FOSE 2007 Small Business Pavilion as well as from The ASBC's membership.

The first Presidential candidate to accept the invitation from The American Small Business Coalition is former U.S. Senator Mike Gravel (D-AK).

Senator Gravel enlisted in the U.S. Army (1951-54) and served as special adjutant in the Communication Intelligence Services and as a Special Agent in the Counter Intelligence Corps. He served in the Alaska House of Representatives from 1963-66, and as Speaker from 1965-66. He then represented Alaska in the U.S. Senate from 1969-81.

"We appreciate Senator Gravel accepting our invitation to sit down and discuss these issues with the segment of the business community contributing the most to the national economy and responsible for the most net new jobs in the U.S." commented Guy Timberlake, CEO and Chief Visionary Officer of The American Small Business Coalition.

The date and times of the roundtables will be announced on March 19th.

More than 15,000 federal high tech buyers will attend FOSE 2007. Registration is free for military, government, government contractors and educators at http://www.fose.com or by calling 1-800-791-FOSE.
