IES Abroad Calls for Student Entries in New Video Contest Study Abroad Experiences to be Showcased and Recognized with Cash Prizes

IES Abroad has launched a video contest to encourage U.S. college and university students to share their IES Abroad overseas study experiences while vying for cash prizes. Students who submit a video of their experiences will have a chance to win a first prize of $350 or a second prize of $150 and have their video featured on the IES Abroad Web site.

Chicago (Issues Wire / PRWEB) March 25, 2008 -- IES Abroad (the Institute for the International Education of Students) has launched a video contest to encourage U.S. college and university students to share their IES Abroad overseas study experiences while vying for cash prizes.

IES Abroad has designed its new video contest to highlight students' favorite daily activities and most enjoyable experiences while studying abroad. Students who submit a video of their experiences will have a chance to win a first prize of $350 or a second prize of $150 and have their video featured on the IES Abroad Web site.

The video contest will help us capture those experiences in our students' own words and images so that friends, family and others can share in them.
"We hear wonderful stories from our students about their study abroad adventures and experiences," said Gayly Opem, executive vice president of marketing and institutional relations at IES Abroad. "The video contest will help us capture those experiences in our students' own words and images so that friends, family and others can share in them."

Videos should be no longer than five minutes in length and should capture the uniqueness of the places the students are studying. Each entry should be original and appeal to a worldwide audience. Students may submit multiple entries, as long as each entry meets all requirements. Entries must be received or postmarked by August 8, 2008.

To enter, students can burn a raw movie file (without DVD introduction screens, menus, or credits) to a CD or DVD and send it along with a signed copy of the IES Abroad video contest entry form (available at www.IESabroad.org) via mail, FedEx, or UPS package to the IES Abroad headquarters at:
